Hermès

Did you know that French brand Hermès founded in 1837 originally was a premium harness workshop, catered to the equestrian market, creating saddles, bridles, and other riding gear? The brand gradually evolved into a luxury fashion house but has retained its equestrian roots.

The brand still has a horse-drawn carriage logo and most of its items, including leather goods, accessorizes, clothing and jewelry are inspired by horse riding. Many of Hermès’ famous silk scarves feature horse motifs, harnesses, and equestrian scenes, making them a symbol of timeless elegance. Moreover, Hermès continues to produce saddles and equestrian equipment, which are highly sought after for their craftsmanship.

Gucci: Horsebit Collection

One of the most recognizable Gucci designs is inspired by horse riding and one of the key elements of harness. The bit located between horse’s teeth and applies pressure to the horse's mouth, it is the way to give control of the horse to the rider. The first bits in History were made of rope, bone, horn, or hard wood. Metal bits came into use between 1300 and 1200 BC, originally made of bronze.

Introduced in 1953, the Gucci Horsebit Loafer features a brass horsebit on the front, making it one of the brand’s most iconic and enduring pieces. Later Gucci continued to work with this topic and presented bags, textile, jewelry and other accessorizes.

Dior: saddle bag

Christian Dior himself was an avid lover of horses and horseback riding, and this passion influenced the house’s designs and motifs over the years. The Dior Saddle Bag, designed by John Galliano in the early 2000s and reintroduced in more recent collections, takes direct inspiration from horse saddles, from its curved shape to its practical design.

This bag became iconic piece and one of the most popular designer bags in the world. You can find this model in different colors, materials, with or without patterns.

Stella McCartney

McCartney is personally connected to the equestrian world, having grown up on a farm in the English countryside where she frequently rode horses. Her passion for animal welfare and her love for horses influence many aspects of her design philosophy, particularly her commitment to using animal-free materials in her collections.

Brand Stella McCartney is famous for its amazing Horse-printed Fabrics. These prints are not only visually striking but also conveyed a sense of motion and freedom, key characteristics often associated with horses.

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren’s brand is synonymous with the American dream, which often includes imagery of polo and horseback riding, cementing its connection to equestrian sports. Of course, the most iconic design of this brand is classic polo shirt featuring logo.

This shirt became the global symbol of casual luxury. The logo, which features a polo player, is rooted in the brand's connection to horseback sports and wellness.
